There are different factors that are responsible for leading someone into the dangerous path of smoking. Some of the factors are listed below
When a person is in his teens he faces a lot of changes in this phase of life, i.e. hormonal changes, insecurity because of the change of roles, some physical changes etc. it is a part of life followed by frustration and the only place where you seek refuge is friend’s company. You will rely on them for support and affirmation. It happens in this age that one member of your peer group starts smoking, he will definitely insist others to at least try smoking and maybe you will resist at first but with the passage of time due to immature years of life you will find it cool to light a cigarette and there it is, you puff one cigarette a day then two, and it goes on.
Risk taking attitude
In some countries smoking is looked as a very unethical habit and there are signs of no smoking and people are not allowed to smoke openly and even buying tobacco is not allowed. These rules seem as chains to the teens and what they love doing in this carefree age is breaking the rules this leads them towards thrill in breaking all the rules one after another and they eventually smoke a few cigarettes in curiosity that why their parents or elders stopped them to do so?. And they get trapped, eventually.
